Wilfried Zaha has been called up to the England Under-21 squad for next month’s UEFA European Championship in Israel.
The young winger was named among manager Stuart Pearce’s 23-man party this afternoon, on the back of his match-winning display for Palace against Brighton last night.
Zaha, who is currently on loan from Manchester United, has been included in the squad after an impressive season at Selhurst Park.
His brace against arch-rivals Brighton took his goal tally for the season to eight, while he has also made 10 assists during Crystal Palace's charge to the Championship play-off final.
Zaha’s form helped him win the PFA Championship Player of the Year for this season and he could yet round off his Eagles career by helping them win promotion to the Premier League.
He will jet out to Israel with the Three Lions after the play-off final with Watford on 27th May. Stuart Pearce’s youngsters play their opening game against Italy in Tel Aviv on 5th June.
