GALLERY: Palace Train At PPL Park

25 July 2014

Crystal Palace have trained at PPL Park ahead of their friendly against Philadelphia Union tonight.

The Eagles drove out to the 18,500-seater stadium for an hour-long session on the surface they will be playing on at 12 midnight BST.

Tony Pulis focused his squad on shape and set piece routines with just a few hours to go until they take on the Major League Soccer outfit in Pennsylvania.

But although the session was less intense than the Palace players have become accustomed to in the first few weeks of pre-season, the scorching 32C heat and humidity levels above 50% made for testing conditions as the lads continue to improve their fitness levels ahead of the new Premier League season.

Midfielder Jonny Williams sat out training as a precaution following the thigh problem he picked up in the 2-2 draw against Columbus Crew in the Eagles' first friendly of the Stateside tour and will not be risked in tonight's match.

A full match report will be available right here on after the game, with highlights on Palace Player tomorrow morning.
