Alan Pardew has made nine changes to his side to take on Shrewsbury Town in the Capital One Cup second round tonight, including handing Patrick Bamford his first Eagles start.
The on-loan Chelsea striker will start in attack for a much-changed Palace side, with Pardew opting to change his entire starting XI bar Joel Ward and Wilfried Zaha for the visit of the Shrews.
Wayne Hennessey starts in goal, with Brede Hangeland, Adrian Mariappa and Martin Kelly joining Ward in defence ahead of him.
Skipper Mile Jedinak and Joe Ledley start in the centre of midfield, with Zaha supported by Chung-yong Lee on the other flank, and Dwight Gayle starting up front with Bamford. Teenage winger Sullay Kaikai is included in a strong bench for Palace.
Shrewsbury make three changes to their side that drew 1-1 with Oldham Athletic on Saturday, with captain Liam Lawrence returning to the side in place of Martin Woods.
There are also changes in attack with Junior Brown and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro included ahead of Liam McAlinden and Tyrone Barnett.
