Adrian Mariappa's Jamaica crashed out of the Copa America following a 1-0 defeat to South American heavyweights Argentina, led by Lionel Messi on his 100th appearance for La Albiceleste.
The Reggae Boyz finish bottom of the very tough Group B, having failed to pick up a point in their three games against Uruguay, Paraguay and the Argentines.
Mariappa played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 defeat to Tata Martino's side, performing well in defence alongside Leicester City's Wes Morgan.
Gonzalo Higuain grabbed the game's only goal after just 11 minutes. His effort was enough to secure Argentina's place at the top of the group and condemn Jamaica to fourth place.
Jamaica endured large spells of pressure against the World Cup runners-up, with the likes of Angel Di Maria, Messi and Higuain all trying to get on the scoresheet, but in the end, the Napoli striker's early strike was all that separated them after 90 minutes.
He went close to adding a second later in the first half, but rattled the crossbar, before Di Maria's long-range curler also hit the woodwork in the second period. The Argentines had chances to put the game to bed, but Jamaica's resilient defending kept them at bay.
