Jedinak Banned For Four Games

3 March 2015

Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has been handed a four match ban by the Football Association for violent conduct.

The incident involving the Palace skipper and Diafra Sakho occurred in the 87th minute of the Eagles' 3-1 win against West Ham United on Saturday, and despite not being seen by the match officials it was picked up on video afterwards and led to his charge.

The club will not appeal the charge, meaning the Australian midfielder will pick up a three match ban for the incident, plus a further match for his previous red card this season against Sunderland on 1st November.

That means he will sit out tonight's game with Southampton, as well as the subsequent games against Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City and Manchester City.
