Draught Palace Ale is now available in most bars and kiosks around the stadium. This fine craft beer is produced from a recipe developed by Actor and Palace Fan, Neil Morrissey. It is a pale, refreshing beer with the straw-coloured appearance of a lager and the bitterness and flavour of a pale ale, with freshness and a citric character coming from the use of the Cascade hop variety. We are delighted to be able to offer this fantastic hand-crafted beer which proudly carries the Palace name and Eagle logo. It is also available in bottles in all Main Stand, Upper Holmesdale and Crystals bars and these can be purchased to take away (by the dozen) at the club shop.
In addition to Carling lager, Magners cider and Budweiser, we also sell the following speciality beers in many of the bars around the stadium :-
Cronx “Kotchin” Blonde Ale – This real ale is produced by our local micro-brewers who are also Palace season ticket holders. When the Cronx opened in 2012 it was the first commercial brewery in Croydon since 1954. This is a hoppy draught bitter that is available in Lower and Upper Holmesdale bars, Wright and Bright, Glaziers, Stanley Stephenson and Crystals Bars (Crystals can be accessed by the stairs next to the ticket office and is open three hours before kick-off for all Palace fans regardless of where they sit in the stadium)
Kernel Beer – Another local, South London brewery and recently voted English “Brewery of the Year”. Kernel’s bottled beers are outstanding and demand exceeds supply with sales allocated to limited outlets. We are the only football club to stock their award-winning beers which are packed full of hops. Available in the Red and Blue Bars, Wright and Bright, Glaziers, Stephenson, Malcolm Allison, 2010 Club, Crystals as well as Speroni’s Restaurant and executive boxes.
Sharp’s Cornish Pilsner – This premium lager was voted “World’s Best Lager” at the 2013 World Beer Awards. Fermented with genuine Czech yeast and lagered on a bed of Saaz hops. Clean, zesty and delicious. Available in most bars in the Main Stand (along with Cobra and Singha lagers) and in the Red and Blue bar.
