The fifth Crystal Palace Beer Festival was a fantastic success this weekend with an attendance of nearly 3000 people enjoying 220 beers and ciders from craft brewers from all over the UK.
We would like to thank everyone who came along and contributed to the marvellous party atmosphere.
Also special thanks to Julian Speroni, Keith Millen, Dave Madden, Jim Cannon and Neil Morrissey for joining us.
We are pleased to award the prestigious "CPFC Beer of the Festival" to Gipsy Hill Brewery's "Yuzu". This beer is made from the Sorachi Ace hop variety that was created in Japan and grown in Washington State, USA. It is flavoured with Yuzu fruit from Asia. However, it is very much a product of South London, brewed in West Norwood, just a couple of miles from Selhurst Park.
"Highly Commended" were "High Wire" from Huddersfield's Magic Rock Brewery, a hoppy beer with exotic flavours of lychee, mango and grapefruit, "Kotchin dry hopped Nelson Sauvin" from Croydon's Cronx Brewery and Five Points "Pale Ale" from Hackney.
Adding to the party atmosphere was some great entertainment and we would like to thank Leech, South London Jazz Orchestra, Essential Entertainments, High Fidelity, Seattle Inc, Birddog Blues, Kocoa Browne and DJ Dynamix Disco for attending this year's event.
We hope all attendees had an enjoyable afternoon.
