Crystal Palace legend Geoff Thomas is to be rewarded with a second Special Achievement award at the club's 2015 Awards Night in recognition of a decade of charitable fundraising.
The midfielder played 249 times for the Eagles between 1987 and 1993, scoring 35 times, and skippered the side in both the 1990 FA Cup final defeat to Manchester United as well as the Zenith Data Systems Cup triumph against Everton a year later.
He also won nine England caps during his time in SE25 and was voted into the club's Centenary XI in 2005, with his efforts on the field previously earning him a Special Achievement award in 2008 for his playing career.
Since his retirement the 50-year-old has successfully battled leukemia and founded the Geoff Thomas Foundation to help raise money to support research into the disease. He has embarked on many charity bike rides, and in 2005 completed the Tour de France route which raised £150,000.
This year he will cycle from London to Paris alongside 300 other volunteers before once again taking on the Tour de France trail in an attempt to raise nearly £1 million for the Cure Leukemia charity.
This latest Special Achievement award will make Thomas the first person in the club's history to win two, and Palace Chairman Steve Parish said: "Geoff was a fantastic player and servant for this club for a number of years and as captain led us through probably the most successful time in our history.
"He has shown as much courage in his efforts to beat leukemia and subsequently raise awareness of the disease as he did whilst wearing the red and blue stripes during his playing days.
"As a club we are immensely proud of Geoff and feel he is fully deserving of winning this award for a second time. I look forward to seeing him being recognised for his humanitarian efforts at our Awards Night, where he will be given a great reception by all Eagles fans."
