Development midfielder Jake Gray has joined League Two side Hartlepool United on a four week youth loan until the 5th December.
The 19-year-old has played twice for the Palace first-team so far in his career, with both coming as a substitute in last season's Capital One Cup fixtures against Walsall and Newcastle United, but he has also been named on the bench for some Premier League fixtures this term.
However he now has the chance to get another taste of first-team action this weekend when Hartlepool host Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup first round - a club where Gray spent some time on loan earlier this year.
The Pools are currently sitting in 17th position in the table but a comfortable eight points above the relegation zone, having narrowly avoided dropping into the National League last season.
Gray, who has scored seven goals in 12 under-21 outings for Palace this season, could play a maximum of five games during his month at Victoria Park.
