Chung-Yong Lee came on as a second half substitute to guide South Korea to a 5-0 away victory against Laos.
Lee earned his 70th cap, and helped his side score the fifth and final goal to secure a convincing win.
South Korea have won all six of their qualifying matches and sit top of Group H on 18 points, with Kuwait closest in second with 10 points.
The victory secures South Korea's progress to the third round of AFC's 2018 World Cup qualification process.
Lee will be hoping to build-on his club and country appearances, having recently returned to fitness after sustaining a hairline fracture during the opening game of the Asian Cup earlier this year.
