Loan Round Up: Gray Nets Brace For Hartlepool

16 November 2015

It was double delight for midfielder Jake Gray, who scored his first and second professional goals in Hartlepool United's 3-1 home win over Leyton Orent on Sunday.

Promotion-chasing Orient took a deserved first half lead through Bradley Pritchard, but the home side drew level shortly after thanks to Kudus Oyenuga's 20th minute penalty. In the end, the game was decided by Palace loanee Gray, who struck twice in the second period to secure a 3-1 victory for the League Two strugglers.

Elsewhere in League Two, Christian Scales was an unused substitute for Crawley Town, as they drew 2-2 in Exeter, whilst Hiram Boateng did not feature in Plymouth Argyle's 2-1 away win against York City.

Goalkeeper Chris Kettings was on the end of a 3-1 home defeat for Bromley, as they fell to Altrincham in the National League on Saturday.

Keshi Anderson played just over 15 minutes for Doncaster Rovers, appearing as a second half substitute in their 2-0 win away to Blackpool in League One. Sullay Kaikai's Shrewsbury Town and Jerome Binnom-Williams' Burton Albion did not play over the weekend.

There were no fixtures in the Championship either, due to the international break. So Sheffield Wednesday and Jack Hunt were not in action, while Jonny Williams represented Wales against the Netherlands.
