Loan Round Up

10 November 2015

The Emirates FA Cup kicked off last weekend, with several Palace loanees playing a part in the first round fixtures.

On Saturday, Christian Scales played the full 90 minutes at left-back for Crawley Town, though they were beaten 2-1 at home to Luton.

Whilst Keshi Anderson's Doncaster Rovers tasted victory at home to Stalybridge Celtic, beating the National League North side 2-0. The on-loan striker appeared as a 57th minute substitute during the win, but was not on the scoresheet.

There was a Hartlepool United debut for midfielder Jake Gray, at home to Cheltenham Town, with the hosts progressing to the second round after running out 1-0 winners.

Jerome Binnom-Williams and Burton Albion were sunk 3-0 at home to ten-man Peterborough United, ending any hopes of an FA Cup run for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side.

Winner of the fan-voted League One player of the month for October, Sullay Kaikai, was left out of Shrewsbury Town's squad for their 1-0 win over Gainsborough Trinity, as they booked their place in round two.

Hiram Boateng was powerless to stop League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle crashing out of the Emirates FA Cup at home to Carlisle United, with the central midfielder left out of the matchday squad.

In league football, Chris Kettings continued his run as Bromley's first choice goalkeeper, playing the full game as Mark Goldberg's men secured a late 1-0 win away to Lincoln City in the National League. Forward Moses Emmanuel's 81st minute winner helped move the Ravens up to fourth in the table.

It was derby delight for Jonny Williams on Friday evening, as Dougie Freedman's Nottingham Forest sunk bitter rivals Derby County 1-0 at the City Ground, thanks to Nelson Oliveira's early strike.

Jack Hunt and Sheffield Wednesday were stunned away to Charlton Athletic, losing 3-1 to the struggling Championship side at The Valley - though victory was not enough to lift them out of the relegation zone.
