Striker Connor Wickham has revealed that he is feeling more confident than ever, now that he has settled at Crystal Palace and recovered from injury.
Speaking to the club's media team - in a video which can be watched HERE - Wickham said he feels great ahead of the visit of his former club Sunderland on Monday.
"My time in the north was very 'up and down,' I didn't have the greatest time," he said. "I needed a confidence booster from somewhere and I got it when I went to Sheffield [Wednesday].
"I went out on loan and scored some goals, then I came back, I felt good, I felt confident again and now that I've moved here I feel more confident than I've ever been before!"
During the video, in which he discusses his role as a striker, forwards he looked up to as a kid and more, Wickham revealed that a player he admires is Paris Saint-Germain's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, due to the Swede's unshakeable confidence.
"There's one that I like, personally, and that's Ibrahimovic," he said. "I just like him so much at the minute. His arrogance, his aggression, his self-belief, he's so confident. He really believes in himself and he's someone who I look up to."
