There was, however, bad news for young defender Ryan Inniss, who unfortunately suffered a dislocated shoulder whilst in action for Port Vale, meaning he has returned to the Eagles to receive treatment. The centre-back was replaced on 48 minutes, as Port Vale fought back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory away to Fleetwood Town.
Jerome Binnom-Williams hit a 94th minute winner for Burton Albion away at Chesterfield, having been brought on as a substitute by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink ten minutes earlier.
Meanwhile, Sullay Kaikai impressed with Shrewsbury Town, looking bright during a 2-0 home win over Blackpool. The talented forward played for the full 90 minutes for Micky Mellon's men. Goalkeeper Chris Kettings also looked good for Bromley during their 3-0 win at home to Chester.
Elsewhere, Keshi Anderson made an impressive debut for Doncaster Rovers, playing the full 90 minutes in their 3-1 defeat away to Sheffield United. The young Palace forward looked lively, starting brightly and causing the Blades problems during his first outing for Donny.
Hiram Boateng got another 90 minutes under his belt at Plymouth Argyle as they played out a 0-0 draw away to Mansfield Town.
Christian Scales played the full 90 minutes for Crawley Town, though the ten-man Red Devils slumped to a 3-0 home defeat to Accrington Stanley. Jonny Williams was an unused substitute during Nottingham Forest's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Thursday night.
