Pardew: Injured Trio Could Return For Watford

25 September 2015

Alan Pardew spoke to the press ahead of Crystal Palace's visit to Watford on Sunday, giving updates on the Eagles' injury list and potential team selection.

Below are some of his quotes on certain areas surrounding team selection. To watch the full press conference for free, click HERE.

On injuries...

"We're waiting on one or two at the moment. Connor [Wickham] definitely won't start and Chamakh won't start, of course, he's been out for a while. They're the only two definite non-starters.

"We've been hurt with injuries in the last couple of weeks, they've come on top of us a little bit. You get them in periods in your season and the squad has to kick in. That's what we're going to have to ask on Sunday, if we're missing one or two. I don't think we've got too many long-term injuries, which is fortunate, so I think we can rectify it pretty quickly."

On Dann, Delaney, and Jedinak...

"We're waiting for all of those, we should know in the next 48 hours. There is a chance they could feature."

On a potential striker selection headache and the playing style...

"Well, we haven't scored for two [league] games and I need people who can score goals. We've played a [certain] system and that's something we're looking at going forward. Some times you have to experiment with what you think might work as a manager and we've got a good idea for this game, we think it will work for us."
