Gayle Pleased With A Point

2 April 2016

Dwight Gayle was pleased to get on the score sheet and help Palace to a big point away from home against West Ham United after an awful run of form in the Premier League.

The 2-2 draw with the Hammers marked the 14th consecutive league game without a victory, but there were positives to take from the result with Gayle's composed finish certainly one of them.

"It was nice to be back out there playing and to get the goal is a bonus. I'm pleased to get a point away from home ultimately," he said.

"When the ball rolled out I just thought I'd pick a corner and place it and luckily it went it."

Gayle received a warm welcome from the travelling Palace fans and he was thankful for their support.

"It was nice of them to show their support all the time, I'm just buzzing to get out there and keep them happy really," he said.
