Alan Pardew has labelled Dimitri Payet the best outfield player in the Premier League this season ahead of Palace's trip to The Boleyn Ground on Saturday.
The Frenchman has been in sensational form since his summer switch from Marseille and poses the clearest threat to the Eagles ahead of tomorrow's meeting in east London.
"They're a team that have really done well this year," Pardew said of the Hammers. "The manager has done a super job and they've got great staff, in terms of their playing roster, and they can change into something else quite quickly. So it's a real difficult place to go this year and get a victory and in Payet - I watched him against Holland in the international break - this is a guy who is really at the top of his game.
"Without doubt - outside of the Leicester boys - he is the best outfield player, in my opinion, this year. A player that did come with a big reputation but he's more than enhanced it," he added.
"You look at that French side and there's a lot of talk about the England team since the victory in Germany, but the French team is very strong, I've seen them play and he's a big part of that."
