Palace Dealt Double Injury Blow

4 February 2016

Alan Pardew has been dealt a double injury blow ahead of the trip to Wales this weekend, with Jason Puncheon and James McArthur both set for lengthy absences.

Puncheon strained his hamstring during the home defeat to Bournemouth on Tuesday evening and looks to be out for several games, whilst McArthur confirmed that he has torn ligaments in his ankle - ruling him out for the rest of the season.

"We've had some disappointing news: McArthur's out for a long period we think," the manager said during his pre-match press conference.

"And Puncheon's going to miss a long period as well. It's a hamstring (Puncheon) for one and the other is ankle ligaments (McArthur), so that's a couple more injuries to the list."

The two injuries are a huge blow to Palace's squad, who are also missing several other key stars.
