Team News: Bolasie Starts At Colchester

25 July 2016

Yannick Bolasie has been handed his first start of pre-season against Colchester United tonight.

The Eagles winger played in the second half of last Tuesday's game against Vancouver Whitecaps having featured for DR Congo in the summer, but following his subsequent rest he has now been deemed fit enough to start tonight's game against the U's.
Also included in Alan Pardew's line-up is Alex McCarthy in goal, as well as an exciting frontline of Bolasie, Andros Townsend, Jason Puncheon and Connor Wickham.

There will be some familiar faces on the subs benches with Freddie Ladapo and ex-Eagle Owen Garvan facing their former clubs, and Ben Wynter could come up against his older brother Alex who played twice for Palace's first-team after coming through their academy.

Colchester United: Walker, Brindley, Wynter, Prosser, Kinsella, Loft, Lapslie, Wright, Szmodics, Dickenson, Porter. Subs: Barnes, Kent, Vincent-Young, Elokobi, Johnstone, Eastman, Bonne, Sembie-Ferris, Garvan, O'Donoghue, Slater, Guthrie.

Palace: McCarthy, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Fryers, Boateng, Mutch, Puncheon, Bolasie, Townsend, Wickham. Subs: Perntreou, Kelly, Binnom-Williams, Wynter, Croll, Jedinak, Lee, Kaikai, Berkeley-Agyepong, Campbell, Ladapo.
