Connor Wickham felt that Palace's draw with Sunderland actually hurt the players more than the defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, because of the late equaliser conceded.
"I think, if anything, this one's more sore than West Brom," the striker admitted at full time. "We can obviously take more positives from the game and throughout the 90 minutes we can take more positives, [but] to concede so late on has hit us hard.
"We could have had three points, but we'll take one," he added.
The striker scored his second brace in three days for the Eagles, offering some hope after a lengthy run of games without a win in the Premier League. However, he did concede that the run-in was going to be tough.
"We have to take each game as it comes and take the points as they come," he said.
