I would like to thank our fans for their incredible support in the FA Cup Final on Saturday. You were absolutely brilliant and we’re sorry that we couldn’t bring the FA Cup back to South London for you. It was an unbelievable day and one that will live long in the memories of the millions who watched on the television, and the thousands inside the stadium.
Its been 9 years since The new Wembley Stadium was opened in 2007, and in my opinion I don’t think The FA Cup Final has seen a more passionate, vibrant, vocal atmosphere than what our fans provided on Saturday.
From the moment our players walked out to inspect the pitch, to the final whistle in extra time, your support was everything we could have wished for.
On behalf of my backroom staff and the players I just want to tell you how much we appreciated it. The feedback has been so positive, and will only make us more determined moving forward to try and bring some silverware back to Selhurst Park.
Once again, thank you for your overwhelming support at Wembley, have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you again in August.
