Both Sam Allardyce and Arsene Wenger can count on many years of experience as they both go into a crucial final set of games this season and the Palace boss is not surprised at the pressure Premier League managers come under in the current push for success at both ends of the table.
“It’s the norm today and what you have to accept as a manager, you know there will be criticism thrown your way at some stage if people don’t think you are achieving what you should be. We all get it but we are tough enough to deal with it and what Arsene has achieved over so many years shows that he has been an outstanding manager and he will be fighting very hard with his players to put things right.” Allardyce said ahead of Monday night’s meeting at Selhurst Park as Palace go for their third home win on the spin.
Sam goes into this match knowing the strength of an Arsenal side pushing for a top four place but also the importance of his side continuing the club's positive home form is upper most in his mind.
“This one will be a hugely tough game and it’s important we don’t lose against Arsenal. They had a very good victory in midweek which showed how they can bounce back because of the quality of players that they have.”
