Eagles shot-stopper Julian Speroni returns in goal for Palace this afternoon as they take on Schalke 04 in their final pre-season friendly of the summer.
The club’s all-time record appearance holder as a goalkeeper gets a run-out at Selhurst Park this afternoon as the only change to Frank de Boer’s line-up from the 1-1 draw at Metz last weekend.
That means that youngster Jason Lokilo gets another chance to impress, while there are home debuts for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jairo Reidewald.
Schalke meanwhile have left all their star men on the bench for the start of the game, with captain Benedikt Howedes still recovering from a hip problem.
Star men Max Meyer and Leon Goretzka are also amongst the substitutes, with the latter having shaken off a muscle injury to make the trip to England could feature for the first time since starring in the summer’s Confederations Cup for Germany.
