Last night in south London, the club’s inaugural Palace Boxpark Takeover saw more than 1,000 Palace fans packing out the East Croydon destination.
Manager Roy Hodgson and chairman Steve Parish made an appearance on stage, before 16 members of the first-team squad signed autographs for 90 minutes.
Hodgson praised the fans continued support of the club, saying: “It is absolutely great to see so many of you turn up tonight. It is a great effort on behalf of you all and I really appreciate it.”
Club captain Jason Puncheon added: “It’s been fantastic to give something back to the fans and the community.”
Five members of the Palace Ladies team, including captain Freya Holdaway and top scorer Gemma Bryan, featured during the evening, as well as performances on stage from the Crystals cheerleaders and Boxpark resident DJ JayKnox.
After the signing session, four Junior Eagles members had won a competition to play FIFA18 on the big screen alongside Christian Benteke Wilfried Zaha, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Puncheon.
