Team News: Four Changes For United Trip

30 September 2017

Palace boss Roy Hodgson has been forced to make four changes to his Eagles side as they head to Manchester for the second successive weekend to take on United at Old Trafford.

Bakary Sako gets the nod up front to fill in for Christian Benteke, who limped off against Manchester City seven days ago, and with Scott Dann and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also picking up injuries during the week, Damien Delaney and Jason Puncheon return to the line-up.

Meanwhile, Joel Ward comes in for Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who cannot feature for Palace this afternoon as per the terms of his loan agreement with the Red Devils.

Jose Mourinho has tinkered slightly with his line-up, making just one change from last weekend’s 1-0 win against Southampton with Chris Smalling replacing Eric Bailly in the heart of defence.

Six of the Red Devils’ starting XI also began their 4-0 UEFA Champions League win in midweek against CSKA Moscow, including Romelu Lukaku who has shrugged off fitness fears to feature from the off.

Palace: Hennessey, Ward, Sakho, Delaney, Van Aanholt, Townsend, Milivojevic, Cabaye, Schlupp, Puncheon, Sako. Subs: Speroni, Kelly, Riedewald, McArthur, Mutch, Lee, Ladapo.
