Wayne Hennessey made a vital late save to keep another clean sheet for Wales as they beat Moldova 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
A save on 90 minutes from substitute Andrei Cojocari by Hennessey kept Chris Coleman’s side ahead in this vital qualifier after Hal Robson-Kanu had headed home an 80th minute cross from Ben Woodburn.
Play went straight up the other end after the save as Aaron Ramsey saw his shot deflected into the back of the net to confirm the three points.
Coleman’s side move into second place in Group D after the Republic of Ireland lost 1-0 against Serbia with their next qualifying game being a visit to Georgia on October 6th.
Jonny Williams, also with the squad, wasn't involved in the match.
