Spirits were high at Copers Cope training ground in the goalkeeping camp this week, as coach Dean Kiely orchestrated a highly competitive game of spikeball for his three goalkeepers.
The game is similar to volleyball, but instead of a net - the teams of two keepers slap the ball onto a trampoline for their opponents to juggle and return.
Kiely was one of the first coaches to embrace the drill more than five years ago during his time as keeper coach at West Bromwich Albion under Hodgson, as a way of boosting shot-stoppers' agility and reaction times.
Kiely paired up with Wayne Hennessey, whilst club legend Julian Speroni teamed up with Vicente Guaita. Watch the action unfold in the clip below.
