While the 2017/18 season is done and dusted for Palace, supporters’ attentions are already turning towards next season, and as usual throughout the summer there are some key dates to circle in your calendars.
One of the biggest days in the footballing calendar is when the new Premier League fixtures are announced, and this year that will happen on Thursday 14th June at 9am. That will be the day when fans can start planning their campaigns, and begin counting down the days to the Eagles’ first fixture.
The Premier League is due to kick-off on Saturday 11th August, although should there be a Friday night TV selection on that opening weekend, then that would officially be the season’s curtain-raiser.
Next season, the summer transfer window will close before the first game of the season, which means that all deals have to be done by Thursday 9th August.
And don’t forget, there is the small matter of a World Cup to come next month, with the festivities kicking off in Russia on Thursday 14th June – the same day as the Premier League fixtures are announced – with the final taking place on Sunday 15th July.
