Ivory Coast beat Central African Republic 4-0 on Friday in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification Group H match at the Stade Bouake in Bouake.
Wilfried Zaha was back in the starting eleven after he had missed the match with Rwanda last month.
Back-to-back wins against the Central African Republic in this international break would all but secure a spot at next year's Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon for the Ivorians.
The nation remain second in the group table after recording their second successive win in Group H following an earlier victory in that game against Rwanda.
A goal after just three minutes from Jonathan Kodija gave the hosts the perfect start and that effort was to separate the two sides through until the break.
It was a much more dominant second half for Ivory Coast and on 53 minutes Eric Bailly extended the lead.
Cheick Doukoure added a third before Maxwel Cornet completed a comfortable victory when he netted with 15 minutes remaining.
The two sides now meet again on Tuesday in Bangui.
