Cheikhou Kouyate was named in Senegal’s African Cup Of Nations match against Madagascar but the 2-2 draw was overshadowed by a stampede at the stadium prior to kick-off.
At least one person has been killed and nearly 40 injured as thousands of supporters were trying to get into the stadium through the only entrance.
The Group A match went ahead as scheduled with Senegal going ahead through Moussa Konate but just before half time Paulin Voavy equalised for Madagascar.
The group leaders went ahead as Keita Balde made it 2-1 to Senegal but once again they lost their advantage as defender Kalidou Koulibaly scored an unfortunate own-goal to give the home side a share of the points.
After two matches, Senegal lead the group on goal-difference ahead of Madagascar in their African Cup Of Nations campaign.
