The first game of the day on the final day of the winter tournament was against the hosts of the competition.
The game started as an even affair but it was the home side who made the breakthrough. There was a mix up at the back and Karzev took full advantage, intercepting the pass and slotting past Luthra in goal.
Tel Aviv came close to adding a second goal of the game just before the halfway point. Guruero turned on the edge of the Palace box and smashed towards the top corner but fortunately for Palace his effort went wide.
The second half was an end to end affair with Palace looking to get back level. Karzev came close to adding a second for Tel Aviv as he slammed a shot against the post.
With Palace throwing men forward to find an equaliser and there gaps created. Tel Aviv almost made the visitors pay with a counter attack but Chen curled well over when well placed.
That was the last clear cut chance of the match and Palace lost this tight game by a single goal.
That result means that Palace have picked up one point from four matches with one left to play against Beitar Jerusalem this afternoon.
