To the supporters delight, the surprise guests for the evening were DSA Patron, Goalkeeper Julian Speroni and Danny Young, the club’s Player Liaison Officer. Everyone was delighted to welcome the four times club Player Of The Year and in Danny, a popular member of Roy Hodgson’s backroom team as they answered questions and gave an insight into how a Premier League club operates off the field.
The Q and A session gave an insight to life at the training ground, their favourite managers and who chooses the music in the changing room pre- match. They provided some great answers and the “Dynamic Duo” provided some great answers.

Jules and Danny then drew the raffle which included prizes donated by Julian, Danny, Crystal Palace FC, Wyevale Purley Way Garden Centre and Marks and Spencer, Croydon.
Afterwards Speroni met the fans and signed programmes and posed for a number of selfies with those present. So many of the DSA members commented on what a memorable evening it had been and were very appreciative of the contribution that the guests on the night helped make the event such a success.
The association was set up to give supporters with disabilities a clear channel to work together with the club. The DSA aims to resolve concerns, complaints and suggest improvements for the club which may impact on the match day experience of supporters with disabilities at Selhurst Park. During the evening the Chairman, David Smith, also gave an overview of the aims and successes of the DSA.
