In 148 games for Belgian side Genk, Muñoz scored 19 goals and created 20 more for his teammates, building a reputation as a real threat down the right wing.
They have come in goals of all shapes and sizes too: 11 headers, four right-footed and four-left footed since his move to Europe, including seven in all competitions already this season.
His most recent strike came just before Christmas, a well placed stoppage-time header to seal all three points late on.
But which other full-backs have found the back of the net?
Tyrick Mitchell chipped in from full-back against Burnley in November, his second goal for the club earning a vital three points.
Mitchell’s only other Palace goal came more than two years ago against Aston Villa in a behind-closed-doors game, making his strike last weekend his first in front of a capacity crowd.
"The other one was just a flick of the shoulder, but I’m proud of this one because it was with my feet, so I’m happy that I kept it on target and I scored,” Mitchell said after the game.
“It’s a great feeling to score so I’m happy. It’s always good to score. I don’t do it a lot, but it was a great goal!
