Ronald Koeman’s side bounced back from their defeat against England with a convincing performance against the European champions with goals from Memphis Depay, Ryan Babel and Virgil van Dijk.
The evening's goals were all scored in the opening half with two of them coming in the first half hour. As early as the 11th minute saw Depay convert a chance from inside the box before the lead was extended soon after when Ryan Babel got on the end of Matthijs de Ligt's cross.
Van Dijk's first international goal was to complete the misery for Portugal in added time of the half.
Whilst Fosu-Mensah's 84th minute appearance from the bench gives him his third cap, Patrick Van Aanholt was an unused substitute in this game.
