Vicente Guaita has been named Crystal Palace's Player of the Month for September, sponsored by Cinch.
With just one first-team game played during the September, manager Patrick Vieira selected this month’s winner based on their performances as well as their application in training.
"I nominated Vicente as Player of the Month because I because he followed up a strong start to the season with a fantastic game against Newcastle,” Vieira said. “He has been terrific in training – I think he deserves it.”
The Palace ‘keeper pulled off a number of remarkable saves at St James’ Park to secure a clean sheet and earn the Eagles an important point.
“My performances are getting better day by day, and this is the most important thing," Guaita said upon accepting the award. "The most important is good training with the staff, with the players. Good training with the first team, when you get to the games, means a good performance.”
