After playing in Crystal Palace’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal yesterday, Joel Ward became the first player in the club’s history to complete a century of Premier League appearances for the Eagles.
The game against the Gunners was the 100th time the right-back has pulled on a Palace shirt in the top-flight, and means he has played in 100 out of the club’s 111 matches since returning to the Premier League in 2013.
Ward, who also has three appearances in the division from his time at Portsmouth, pips Jason Puncheon to the accolade by a single game, with the winger set to bring up his century at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
During his century the defender has found the back of the net three times - against Queens Park Rangers in 2014/15 and Arsenal and Chelsea this season.
