The 19-year-old defender was making just his second Premier League start for the Eagles – and duly helped his side to his second clean sheet in the competition.
Canvot was ubiquitous in the Eagles' backline, making a match-high five successful tackles and winning every one of his aerial duels, as well as completing four recoveries, six clearances and a block.
Such contributions were vital to helping Palace record an eighth Premier League clean sheet of the season – and up against a Villa side who had scored in each of their previous 13 matches in all competitions to boot.
"I felt good," Canvot later told Palace TV. "That was a great performance for the team. I'm happy to help the team."
Canvot won your poll with 28.5% of the votes, with midfield duo Adam Wharton (14.0%) and Will Hughes (13.5%), and defender Marc Guéhi (11.9%), also scoring double figures for votes.
