Loftus-Cheek was brought down by Federico Fernandez and once the referee pointed to the spot a confident Milivojevic fired home his penalty and was confident at that point that the Eagles were going to leave south Wales with maximum points.
“I am a little bit disappointed because I think we could have taken the three points but across the game we have played well and in the end we take the point away from home.
“In the first twenty minutes they started well but when we got the ball and held possession well we were a very dangerous team, we created some good chances and were unlucky not to be ahead at the break.
“We were looking to be more solid after the goal and try and cause them problems on the counter attack but they got the goal back and it’s an important point for us to take.”
The midfielder showed great calmness to beat the Swansea goalkeeper but was disappointed at the other end not to cut out Jordan Ayew’s equaliser.
“I felt ok and confident as I knew exactly where I wanted to put the ball and it was nice to score.
“For their goal I was thinking he (Ayew) was going to shoot so I slid in but I was a bit late and he made a good move and produced a fine shot for the goal”
This point on the road takes the unbeaten run to eight games and the club go into Christmas Day with 18 points and the Serbian international believes that the squad can take great credit for the turnaround in league position but is keen that things don’t change in a busy period of fixtures coming up.
“After the first seven games we hadn’t taken any points or scored a goal but now we find ourselves in a better position on an unbeaten run of eight games but we now need to continue in the same way in the matches ahead.
“In the last few weeks we have had a tight schedule and now we have more games so we must be ready for them. The games coming up are the ones you look forward to play in this league as we have matches against the biggest teams in the league and we will be trying to do the best for our club. It won’t be easy having the three games in a short space of time but we know what we have to do and we will be ready for it.”
