Zaha has been struggling all week with a hamstring injury which has caused him to miss today’s London derby, with Ayew – who this week was called up for the Ghana squad for the first time in a year – taking his spot in the side.
That is the only change Roy Hodgson has made from the team that lost 3-1 to Chelsea six days ago, although Joel Ward has recovered to take a spot on the bench.
Spurs meanwhile have made two changes to their side that beat Wolves 3-2 last weekend, with Dele Alli returning for the starting line-up alongside Victor Wanyama.
The pair replace injury victim Mousa Dembele and Harry Winks, with the latter named on a very strong bench including Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min.
