The Spanish shot-stopper flung an arm up to deny Cenk Tosun as he attempted to break the deadlock with a smart backheel, only to watch as Guaita's instincts came to the fore to guard his goal and earn another clean sheet for Crystal Palace.
Speaking after the match, Guaita stated that his save was 'important' but also remarked that, as a goalkeeper, it's his job to keep the ball from the back of his net and so seemed almost non-plussed at any potential adulation he may receive for the save.
He also praised the draw and clean sheet as 'important', saying: "For me it's good and for the fans it's good."
Thankfully for Palace, with safety now secured, today's point comes as superfluous to anything needed to avoid relegation and Guaita turned his attention away from the clash with Everton to look at survival overall.
He said: "[Staying up is] important because this team is [in the] Premier League. For the team they are up there in the table. For the players, it's happy; the group are very, very happy. Now it's [time] to enjoy [safety]. It's been a good season and important to finish this season and spend next season in the Premier League."
