It was another superb defensive effort from Palace to secure a clean sheet against one of the league’s most prolific sides, with Ward’s goal-saving interception crucial as Edinson Cavani waited to tap home.
Ward swept to victory with 56.3% of the vote, ahead defensive teammate Cheikou Kouyate in second (24.6%). Andros Townsend, who contributed to Palace's constant threat on the break, was third with 6.7%.
