Speaking with Palace TV at the end of the match, he expressed his happiness with both the scoreline and his contribution to it, exclaiming, as perhaps fans can already see, "I'm buzzing every time I score really.
"I'm just happy I can get on the scoresheet and put us ahead. The main things are the points and performances."
But now it's not only Zaha leading the line up-front and yesterday saw Michy Batshuayi join him, Jordan Ayew and Christian Benteke as attacking options, with former stand-in striker Andros Townsend playing out wide.
For Zaha, the range of options and depth going forward is only ever positive.
"Before," he said, "me and Andros had to scramble up top trying the best we can but obviously now there's so many players and so many options for the gaffer. So it's much easier for us now.
"It makes such a difference when we take our time with the final pass and hitting the target is then the main thing."
