First friendly in front of a crowd

For the first time this season Palace will play in front of a crowd, with the gates open at Hayes Lane.

Fans heading down will be able to see new man Óscar Mingueza in-person for the first time since his arrival earlier this month.

Regardless of whether it’s a competitive fixture or not, packed stands always give games a competitive edge – expect Saturday to be no different.

Expect goalmouth action

Both Matheus França and Eddie Nketiah put on a ruthless display of finishing in our first pre-season game against Swindon Town last time out.

Nketiah scored twice in the opening 21 minutes, before França notched a second-half hat-trick.

If both forwards can take that form into Saturday’s game, we can expect plenty of goals.

Bromley found the net 71 times on their way to winning League Two last season and their manager Andy Woodman has built a side that creates plenty of chances.

Who’s looking sharp before Como?

The trip to Hayes Lane is our final fixture before an overseas trip for the Como Cup next week.

Pre-season will step up another level in northern Italy, with Palace facing some high-quality European opponents.

So Saturday’s Bromley clash should the Manager a good idea of where his players are at, before a big test next week.

Sage looking to take things to the next level

Pierre Sage said after the win over Swindon that he believed his team will improve following another full week of training.

Whilst there were positive signs in the first game of pre-season, the Manager also stated after the game that he believed the team would improve.

"We've only had five sessions together,” Sage told Palace TV after the win over Swindon. “And we won't have just five anymore, so I think the next game will be better.”

Hopefully the Eagles can rise to the challenge against the League Two champions.

Friends reunited

Saturday’s game marks a return to Hayes Lane for former Bromley loanee Danny Imray. The wing-back spent the entirety of the 2024/25 season on-loan at the Ravens and proved a huge success.

His former manager at the club, Andy Woodman, will be in the dugout for the hosts, fresh off the back of winning the LMA League Two Manager of the Year award in 2025/26.

Woodman himself is a former Palace player and coach, and will be managing against the Eagles for the first time.
