Republic of Ireland star Abbie Larkin has become a vital part of Palace's frontline, since she joined in 2024.
The teenage forward joined Crystal Palace on a permanent transfer from Glasgow City for an undisclosed fee in January 2024, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Larkin was born in Ringsend, a suburb of Dublin, and began her senior footballing career with League of Ireland Women’s Premier League club Shelbourne, scoring on her debut at just 16 years of age in June 2021, and featuring in the 2021 FAI Women’s Cup Final.
Larkin then moved to Shamrock Rovers, where she scored nine times in 16 appearances; featured in all three of her country’s World Cup finals matches in Australia; and transferred to Glasgow City, where she scored twice.
In her first half-season in South London, Larkin helped Palace reach the Women's Super League for the very first time, featuring three times en route to promotion.
She was a near constant throughout the 2024/25 WSL season, playing in 20 of the 22 games.
The 2025/26 season proved to be her breakout campaign in England though, as she bagged eight goals and two assists in 21 matches to help Palace to a second-ever promotion to the WSL.
She also scored the goal to send Ireland to League A in the Nations League, moving the Girls in Green one step closer to World Cup qualification.
The 21-year-old was nominated for the WSL2 Rising Star award, as she proved to be one of the best young players in the division.
