The tournament kicks off in the United States over summer, with Colombia taking on Paraguay, Costa Rica and five-time World Cup winners Brazil in the group stage in Texas, Arizona and California respectively.
If they qualify from their group, they would likely play hosts the United States – including Palace teammate Chris Richards – in the knockout rounds, with current world champions Argentina waiting further down the line.
It will be the latest in two international careers on the biggest stages.
